ANCO LTR (Low Temperature Rendering) Systems

The ANCO LTR system offers many features compared to traditional High Temperature rendering, or Low Temperature Rendering that utilize the twin screw press. Due to the process, this system allows for multiple material types, “sloppy” materials, and lower quality materials to be processed, and can even allow for edible and inedible processes with the same equipment without any modifications.

This process requires the raw material to be finely ground. Then, this material is continuously heated to temperatures slightly above the fat melting point, releasing the water and fat, creating a “slurry”. The heated slurry is decanted, where the solids and liquids are separated. The solids are dried to a meal and the “liquids” (fat and water) are further separated.

The reduction of heat exposure and mechanical separation of the tallow from the LTR process results in a better quality tallow and meal.Since the water is “mechanically” removed, the plant steam is usage is substantially reduced, the system produces a higher quality fat and increased fat yields.

As the meal produced from the LTR process is lower in fat content, better color, quality, and increased digestibility.

End users of this system benefit from reduced operational costs while producing the highest achievable quality end products.


ANCO TS (Twin Screw) Rendering Systems

The ANCO TS Rendering System has many features compared to traditional High Temperature and the LTR rendering systems.

This process is an excellent choice for renders that have a “consistent” raw material, and that wants to reduce its operational costs while producing the highest achievable quality meal. The twin-screw’s pressing is optimized from a larger grind of a consistent raw material, eliminating the need for a secondary grind, which reduces the overall daily maintenance compared to the LTR system.

This process requires the raw material to be coarsely ground, the coarsely ground material is continuously heated to temperatures slightly above the fat melting point, releasing the water and fat. The heated/crushed material is then “pressed”, where solids and liquids are separated. The solids are dried to a meal and the “liquids” (fat and water) are further separated.

The reduction of heat exposure by mechanical separation from the TS process results in a better quality tallow. Since the water is “mechanically” removed, the plants steam usage is substantially reduced. The TS Rendering system produces a higher quality tallow, and increased fat yields and a better quality meal.

The meal produced from the TS process is lower in fat content, and is a better color an quality, with increased digestibility.

End users of this system benefit from reduced operational costs while producing the highest achievable quality end products.
